Privacy Policy
Effective September 18, 2026
This policy explains what happens to your personal information when you use this website — what we collect, why, who sees it, and what say you have over it. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, in keeping with what Quebec's privacy law actually asks of us.
1. Who this policy is about
This Privacy Policy is issued by Clinique Medix (“we”, “us”, “the clinic”), located at 1220 Bernard Ave #16, Montreal, Quebec H2V 1V6. It applies to personal information collected through this website — cliniquemedix.com — in both English and French.
It does not cover the health and medical information you share with our clinicians during an in-person consultation or treatment. That information is governed separately by the professional confidentiality obligations that apply to regulated healthcare providers in Quebec, and by the consent you give directly to your clinician at the clinic.
2. Information we collect
We only collect what we need to answer you or manage your visit. Through the contact form, the booking dialog, and the promotional pop-up on this site, we collect the name, email address and phone number you provide, along with your message and the subject you choose, if you fill in the contact form.
We also automatically note which marketing campaign, if any, brought you to the site (for example, from an ad or a social media link), and basic, non-identifying technical data about how pages perform, described in “Cookies and similar technologies” below.
3. Why we collect it
We use this information to respond to your message, confirm or follow up on a booking request, and answer questions about treatments, pricing or the clinic. We also use campaign information to understand which of our own marketing efforts are actually bringing people to the clinic, so we can spend our marketing budget sensibly.
- We do not use your information for automated decision-making that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertisers.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We don't run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party advertising tracker on this site, and we don't use cookies to build a profile of you across other websites.
When you arrive here from a marketing link, we temporarily remember which campaign brought you — using your browser's own session storage, not a cookie — so that if you go on to book an appointment or send us a message, we can tell which campaign to credit. That information stays in your browser, is never sent to an advertising network, and disappears as soon as you close the tab.
We also use Vercel Speed Insights, a privacy-focused tool from our hosting provider, to see how quickly pages load for visitors. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you personally.
Because none of this identifies, locates or profiles you the way Quebec's Law 25 is concerned with, we don't need to ask for your consent before using it. If that ever changes — for example, if we add analytics or advertising tools in future — we'll update this policy and give you a way to control it.
5. Who we share it with
Sending us a message or a booking request shares your details with the staff at Clinique Medix who need them to respond to you, and with the appointment and enquiry management system we use to keep track of requests. That system, and our website host, Vercel, may store or process information on servers located outside Quebec, including in Canada or the United States.
Every service provider we use is bound by contract to protect your information to a standard consistent with Quebec and Canadian privacy law, and to use it only for the purpose we've engaged them for.
6. How long we keep it
We keep the information you send us for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry or manage your booking, and afterwards for as long as needed to maintain a record of our communications with clients, consistent with our professional and legal record-keeping obligations. After that, it's securely deleted or anonymized.
7. How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, and access is limited to the people and service providers who need it to do their work.
8. Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it's inaccurate or incomplete, or withdraw your consent to how we use it, subject to the exceptions the law allows. To do any of this, contact the person named below.
If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your request, you can bring a complaint to Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information, or, for matters outside Quebec's jurisdiction, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
9. Children's privacy
This website is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority through it. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Person in charge of the protection of personal information
Our Privacy Officer is the person responsible for overseeing our compliance with this policy and with Quebec's privacy law. You can reach them at info@cliniquemedix.com or (514) 360-0779.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change how the website works or if the law changes. The “Effective” date at the top always reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
12. Contact us
